We believe in celebrating, advocating and assisting women locally and globally to achieve independence through vocational training and community connection.
We promote independence for female immigrants so they can recognize and fully develop their potential, and effectively pursue educational and professional opportunities. We provide skills training such as professional industrial sewing classes and leadership development programs.
We provide support and community inclusion for immigrant women new to Maine and serve women who live in developing countries by making personal item kits locally and sending them globally. We also provide a welcome packet for female immigrants new to Maine, and match them with a volunteer, to help with the settlement process.
Our blog provides a platform for female immigrants in Maine to tell their stories and express their voice. The goal is to inform the public, raise awareness, and promote a more positive discourse about immigrant women.
